I have a free font that I would like to share with everyone. My Luv is a handwritten font that includes all of the major characters. Uppercase, lowercase and most of the commonly used characters. 92 characters in all.

I had a blast making this font (it is my first!) and I am working on another font as we speak which I will release soon. If you have any suggestions on how to make it better I would love to hear them.

You can use this font for anything you would like. You are free to use these in commerical or personal projects. However you may NOT sell, claim as your own, redistrubute from your own website, email these files to your friends. Just send them the link to this page and have them download the files themselves. If you want to offer them on your blog or website you must link to this page for others to download. No Hotlinking. You do not have to credit me if you use these. Please enjoy and if you want to show me how you used them I would love to see it.

Today I came across a really great article titled “SEO Guide for Designers” and even though the article is written for designers it has a ton of really useful information for non-designer types as well. In my opinion, this article lays out some of the most basic do’s and don’ts when it comes to getting high rankings for your website. But the article goes much deeper into understanding the basics of good SEO. So check out the article and let’s get some higher rankings starting today!

Smashing Magazine has an awesome article with some truly amazing posters that incorporate typography in some really innovative and stunning ways. Here is one of my favorites. Be sure to check out the article it’s a really impressive list with some outstanding artists.

I came across this article today about cool and unusual business cards and it got me thinking about what makes a good business card. I admit, compared to these designs our business cards are traditional and you might even say plain. The cards in this article are definitely not traditional or plain.

I particularly love the marriage counselor’s business card. What a fantastic idea! It’s also interesting that “Hello My Name is” card is almost exactly like our first business card before we re-branded last year.

Makes me think that maybe it’s time to re-think our cards…hmm…I’ll file this in the future projects part of my brain.
