Today I came across a really great article titled “SEO Guide for Designers” and even though the article is written for designers it has a ton of really useful information for non-designer types as well. In my opinion, this article lays out some of the most basic do’s and don’ts when it comes to getting high rankings for your website. In addition to designers not thinking about SEO… some Offline businesses just have no clue about SEO.
Even worse… they buy from designers who don’t consider SEO and they end up with a possibly great looking site with bad SEO! Especially true when you consider how bloated some design software makes the source code.
All the whiz bang site doohickeys in the world won’t do you any good if no one visits.
I have seen quite few local sites from Springfield, IL just like that the past few days doing research on local offline businesses.
It is good to see a local designer who also knows about SEO… or at the very least… what it is!
